The story

A caparisoned elephant is temple doorway work, and this one is modelled in the round small enough to stand on a finger. The trunk curls down to the left, the saddle cloth is granulated, the harness beaded, and a domed green cabochon sits in each shoulder of the ring.

Underneath, the elephant stands on a lotus of five red kundan petals over three white, each stone laid flat in its gold cup, warm antique gold over 925 sterling silver throughout. The band is cut at the back and the two ends lie past each other, so it eases open and closes to the finger you choose. It lives in the steel trunk and comes out for the loud days.
