The story

Faceting is done after the links are formed: a flat facet planed onto each face of each squared segment, so a chain that would otherwise read as a plain column of boxes carries a fine even sparkle along its whole length.

Silver, 925 sterling, roughly 1.5 to 2 mm, nineteen and a half inches. It ends in a tapered crimped cap, then a round jump ring, then a lobster clasp with a matching cap on the receiving side. It reads brighter than its weight suggests.
