The story

Every stone in this lotus is kundan, each in its own raised cup and each cup ringed with dots of gold. The flower is open and seen face on: pointed petals at the crown, broader leaves through the middle, rounded ones along the bottom row. One is all white; the other takes red at the crown and at both outer corners of the bottom row.

It is one flat piece about two centimetres across, so it lies along the lobe instead of hanging off it. The post is smooth and takes a push back. Red at the crown is enough to hold a red saree up at the ear on a Karva Chauth evening.
