The story

Worn at the base of a plait or above a bun, where the fringe can move against the hair. A seated Lakshmi holds the centre in a chand bali frame with a peacock beside her, and a Ganesha panel closes each end.

Rows of red, green and white kundan run through the antique gold, with green oval beads and seed pearls along the lower edge. The back carries a bar fitting, so the panel sits flat.
