The story

The crescent is cut right through, so the gold reads as a screen rather than a slab, and two peacocks stand facing each other at the top of it with a kundan bar between them. A round rosette with a green centre sits in the body of the crescent, and small white pearls hang off both horns.

The chain is a run of kundan set discs alternating with mangoes, red and white and green the whole way to the back, ending in an S hook and a plain extender that takes it from 24 to 26 inches. This is an almirah piece, brought out for the wedding and put back the same night.
