The story

Worked in relief and facing left, the peacock has a body built up in rows of raised granulation that read as feather scales. Five uncut stones fan out above the head as the tail, and a double row of gold beads runs right around the face.

Oxidation is driven deep into every recess and rubbed back off the high points, so the bird reads dark against bright. The band is cut open at the back and adjusts to the finger. Kept for Diwali and the wedding nights, this is a face that fills the finger.
