The story

Navratna, nine colours in nine outer cells, around an inner wheel of white kundan cut into wedges and divided by gold walls. A round deep red kundan holds the middle of it.

Every stone is flat cut and the face sits level, so it passes clean under a dupatta. The band slides underneath and is set to the finger by hand.
