The story

Run it through your fingers and there is nothing to catch. A snake chain is built from plates seated so close together that the surface reads as continuous, a smooth round tube with only the faintest banding where they meet.

Twenty inches at roughly 1 to 1.2 mm, finishing in a small crimped cap at each end, a jump ring, then a lobster clasp. Plain silver, bright gold or the darker antique gold. A snake chain shows every millimetre of its polish, so there is nowhere for a rough finish to hide on one.
