The story

This is the chain that finishes a heavy necklace at the back. A lobster clasp at each end takes the two ends of the haar, and an S-hook along the middle sets how far it hangs behind you. The links are round and lie face-up, so the run stays flat between the shoulder blades.

Seven point eight inches in all three finishes. The antique gold one runs on alternating rings and flattened bars, and its S-hook drops into any link, so that one adjusts in increments rather than at a set point. A heavy haar pulls forward all evening, and this takes some of that weight back.
