The story

Eighteen inches of very fine chain, under a millimetre through: short bar shaped links, each with a flat cut face, so the light catches it in an intermittent twinkle rather than a steady line, and a slight regular waviness runs along the edge.

925 sterling silver, closing on a round spring ring with its thumb tab on the outer edge. This is the one that comes out of the courier envelope and goes straight on. Fine enough to sit under a collar unnoticed, and strong enough to hold a small pendant without sagging.
